For those who remember our behind-the-scenes post from the 4th of March, this is the moment we’ve been waiting for – the final reveal of our stunning ceiling discs for Nando’s New Brighton in the UK!
Working alongside the incredible design team at Harrison’s has been nothing short of inspiring. They came to us with a vision, and we couldn't be more thrilled with how it all came together. Their design approach pushed us to explore new styles and develop solutions that seamlessly blend artistry with functionality—something we’re always eager to do!
The project called for massive bespoke ceiling discs, designed to float effortlessly between other lighting elements, adding layers of depth and visual intrigue to the space. These custom discs, woven in bold new patterns and colour palettes, were designed in three sizes:
- 1200mm ø
- 1500mm ø
- 2000mm ø
The challenge? Bringing a creative solution to a common design problem: ceiling coverage in large commercial spaces. Often, ceilings can feel like an afterthought, but with projects like this, we show just how powerful ceiling design can be. Our woven discs not only serve as breathtaking focal points but also cleverly address engineering and functional challenges—creating a cost-effective and artistic way to cover up and elevate a space’s ceiling.
The discs were crafted in our signature handwoven style, incorporating a rich mix of colours that the team at Harrison’s carefully selected to harmonise with the rest of the interior design. This new weave style, with its unique texture and colour combinations, feels modern yet rooted in tradition—perfect for a space like Nando’s that thrives on vibrant, bold, and inviting aesthetics.
We’re incredibly proud to have played a role in bringing this vision to life, and we’re so grateful to Harrison’s for their creativity and collaboration. Each project teaches us something new, and this one left us buzzing with excitement for what’s possible when art, design, and engineering come together.
If you’re working on a corporate, hospitality, or residential project and would love to explore our custom design capabilities, we’d love to hear from you! Let’s weave something special together.
