In collaboration with Muza Lab, we were able to bring a subtle African authenticity and interest to the One & Only hotel suites. A bold cross-hatched pattern, screen printed in black on the white cotton and raffia fabric, added a striking contrast to the soothing neutral tones of each suite.
When esteemed partners Liam Tomlin of Chefs Warehouse and Victoria Engelhorn of The Cape Heritage Hotel invited us to create the lampshades and ultimately define the lighting, not only were we ecstatic about the potential the space provides, we knew we had to produce something extra special to do it justice.
This stunning installation is right at home in Nando's Ely restaurant in Ireland. The installation consisted of three massive lampshades, each featuring over a thousand meters of yarn, woven together over a period of six weeks.
